Seth Rollins WWE Wrestler - Information on the Upcoming Talent

SETH ROLLINS

He now performs under the name Seth Rollins for WWE, but before that he was known as Tyler Black, Taj the Destroyer, and Gixx. His real name is Colby Lopez and is from Buffalo, Iowa.  He was born in 1986 making him at the time of this writing to be 26 years of age.  His future looks bright, but in this article we are going to examine past info about him.

Rollins debuted  back in 2005 with Scott County Wrestling.  He also then appeared with IWA Mid South and was part of the Ted Petty Invitational tournament.  This is a well known event on the indy wrestling circuit and is held in memory of former star Ted Petty, who was mostly known for being a member of the Public Enemy tag team.  Rollins lost in the quarter finals to Matt Sydal.  Rollins eventually won the SCW heavyweight title.

He also appeared in NWA Midwest and won the tag titles there with Marek Brave.  Around the same time, Rollins made an appearance for TNA Wrestling teaming with Jeff Luxon in a match against Homicide and Hernandez.

From there, Tyler Black or whatever we want to call him went on to compete in Full Impact Pro and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, and..

RING OF HONOR

It is with ROH where he mostly was able to turn his career up a notch in terms of exposure and such.

With Ring of Honor, he mostly started out being featured in tag team matches and won their world tag belts with Jimmy Jacobs, but at the Take No Prisoners pay per view he went up against Nigel McGuinness for the ROH World title.  He lost but then went on to team with Jimmy Jacobs again and they captured the tag titles again at the Up For Grabs event.

Later on Rollins would go on to feud with Jacobs and focus more on singles matches.  Eventually Rollins won the ROH world championship in 2010 from Austin Aries.

FCW and WWE

While still ROH champion, it was announced that Rollins had signed a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment, a developmental one which involves going to Florida Championship Wrestling.  Rollins turned heel with ROH and began to insult the fans, saying that he didn't care if they thought was a sell-out and such. He then soon lost the belt to Roderick Strong.

From there he then went on to first using the Seth Rollins wrestler name with FCW.  He had matches with the likes of Dean Ambrose and Damien Sandow.  In February of 2012, he beat Leo Kruger to gain the FCW Florida heavyweight championship.

Onward to debuting for WWE NXT in June, 2012.  Rollins eventually became NXT Champion.

The Survivor Series pay per view came around in November 2012 and Rollins was their in full style as a member of a new group called The Shield.  The other members were Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns.  During the event, they attacked Ryback who was competing in a triple threat match for the WWE Championship with CM Punk and John Cena.

On the next night, The Shield again assaulted the star Ryback and even put him through the announce table.

The future looks bright for Rollins.  Whether or not he remains a part of the Shield group, he has the potential for success in WWE.  As always, a lot of it will depend on the writers and others who call the shots, but the talent is there.
